ARTS STUDENT

To become an Arts student in Pakistan (or anywhere), you simply need to choose the Arts or Humanities stream after completing your matriculation (10th class).

✅ Step 1: Pass Matric (10th Grade)

  • Complete your Matriculation, usually with subjects like:

    • English, Urdu, Math, Islamiat, Pak Studies, etc.

  • After matric, you choose your stream for intermediate (FA, FSC, ICom, etc.)


✅ Step 2: Choose Arts/Humanities in Intermediate (FA)

  • After Matric, take admission in FA (Faculty of Arts).

  • FA is a 2-year program (11th and 12th class).

  • You can choose optional subjects based on your interests.

You usually study 3 compulsory and 3 optional subjects.

Compulsory Subjects:

  • English

  • Urdu

  • Islamiat / Pakistan Studies

Optional Subjects (choose any 3):

  • Education

  • Civics

  • Psychology

  • Sociology

  • Islamic Studies

  • Fine Arts

  • Home Economics

  • History

  • Arabic / Persian / Punjabi

Choose subjects based on what you enjoy or your future goals (like journalism, law, teaching, CSS, etc.).


✅ Step 3: Pass FA with Good Marks

  • Study hard and score well, especially if you want to apply to good universities after FA.

  • Good marks will help you get into degree programs like BA, BS, or B.Ed.

After completing FA, you can go for:

💼 How to Get a Commerce Degree in Pakistan

✅ Step 1: Pass Matric (10th Grade)

  • After completing Matric (with any subjects), you can choose I.Com (Intermediate in Commerce) for your 11th and 12th grade.


✅ Step 2: Choose I.Com (Intermediate in Commerce)

  • Duration: 2 years (Part I & II)

  • Compulsory Subjects:

    • Islamiat / Pakistan Studies

Commerce Subjects:

  • Principles of Accounting

  • Principles of Economics
